Meet the Lenahans
Karen met Daniel while attending Long Island University 27 years ago and have been happily married for 21 years. Their passions are music and design and they travel as much as possible in the off season to collect new ideas and refresh their creative minds. Living on the east end of Long Island in the summer and Vermont during most of the winter months gives them the opportunity to work in such beautiful, diverse places. Their love of the seasons in both places give them incredible working locations whether you are having your wedding or event on the beach, a vineyard or in the mountains. Their business is never seasonal which they love!

Karen is the head floral designer followed by a fabulous design team that has worked for her for many years. Originally trained as an Interior Designer she began her floral business when she opened her first studio in the Hamptons over 20 years ago. Karen takes on each client with a personalized approach, meeting with each client herself a few times before the event to cover each clients needs….from picking out linens to putting together each element of the floral designs with them personally so they can see the final design. She not only works for her clients she becomes a fun part of the experience whether it’s an intimate party or a large wedding or event, she forms a lifetime relationship with each and every client.

Dan is the technical lead for Karen Lenahan Designs. He brings design perspective, talent for analyzing space and structural engineering to the fabrication of their custom pieces and lighting they design together. These installations and specialty pieces are which Karen Lenahan Designs is known for!
